The Heat

It was far from being a nail-biter.  Russian President Vladimir Putin easily won Sunday’s election with nearly 77 percent of the vote.

Already the country’s longest-serving leader since Joseph Stalin, he will lead Russia until 2024.

CGTN’s Aljosa Milenkovic tells us the story of how Putin won his 4th term as president.

To discuss this:

  • Alexander Nekrassov is a former adviser to the Kremlin and a Russian analyst.
  • Sergey Aleksashenko is a senior fellow in Global Economy and Development at the Brookings Institution.
  • Paul Hockenos is an author and freelance writer.
  • Harlan Ullman is a senior adviser of the Atlantic Council.
