A breakthrough for Brexit. Negotiators have settled on a large part of the agreement, to allow the United Kingdom’s orderly withdrawal from the European Union.

Officials admited, however, no breakthrough has been made on keeping open the Irish border.

At issue – how to find a way to keep goods and people flowing back and forth while respecting EU controls.

Britain will leave the EU at the end of March 2019.

Talks must conclude in enough time to allow national parliaments in the bloc time to ratify the deal.
