Chinese sculptor of the Martin Luther King Memorial on what inspired his vision

People around the world paid tribute to U.S. civil rights leader, Martin Luther King, Jr., who was assassinated 50 years ago. Among the sites where they gathered was the King Memorial here in Washington, D.C. It was created by a Chinese artist – a decision which upset some who believed it should have been designed by an African American. But reaction to the finished piece has been overwhelmingly positive. CGTN’s Xu Mengqi talked with sculptor Lei Yixin about the ideas that inspired his vision.
