Ziplining over Brazil’s Central Highlands, the Tirolesa Vôo do Gavião

Ziplines have already been important means of transportation in several mountainous regions around the world. Now it’s primarily a tourist attraction combine adrenaline and great views.

Paulo Cabral visited an 850 meter long zipline in Brazil’s Central Highlands, the Tirolesa Vôo do Gavião.  He takes you along for the ride. 

Brazil’s Central Highlands have great views from up high and hanging from a zipline provides an option to appreciate them.

Tirolesa Vôo do Gavião is among the longest in the country.

It’s 850 meters (2789 feet) long. Maximum height is 100 meters (328 feet.)

The average speed is 55 kph (34 mph), fast enough to cross the valley in one and a half minutes.
