DPRK leader Kim Jong Un and ROK President Moon Jae-in are kicking off a highly anticipated summit, with denuclearization at the top of the agenda.

This is the third such meeting between the two since the Korean War–the other two being in 2000 and again in 2007.

In one of the most militarized places in the world, the two leaders will meet on the Republic of Korea (ROK) side of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in the “Peace House.”

Un will be the first DPRK leader to cross into the ROK since the end of the Korean War in 1953.

This meeting comes after the two reopened lines of communication in January.
