A restaurant owner from Mexico provides nourishment to those in need

Americas Now

He inherited an organization that sends food packages to the disadvantaged. And then he expanded its reach to transform the lives of even more people. Our Game Changer on “Americas Now” is Agustin Vazquez.

San Juan Cosala, a small village in Mexico, attracts a lot of North American retirees. About 30 years ago a couple set up a program called Operation Feed to provide nourishment to the poorest families in the area.

Before the couple died, they passed the program on to someone they hoped would continue their good work. Not only has he fulfilled their wishes, he has greatly expanded the reach of Operation Feed and transformed the opportunities available to future generations.

Through Agustin Vazquez, the legacy of the original founders of Operation Feed lives on. Watch our interview with Agustin here.
