Race to reach villagers after Guatemala’s volcano of fire erupts

A mass evacuation is underway in Guatemala, after the eruption of one of its most-active volcanoes.

The blast poured thick smoke and ash over Guatemala City and surrounding towns.

At least 62 are confirmed dead and that number is expected to rise.

CGTN’s Harris Whitbeck is traveling with a team, trying to reach small villages near the mouth of the volcano.
