The Heat: US-China Trade War escalates

The Heat

The trade war between the United States and China is escalating with the U.S. releasing a new list of  Chinese products to be hit with tariffs.

The United States announces a list of additional tariffs on Chinese products worth $200 billion. This would be in addition to duties imposed on $34 billion in Chinese imports last week.

Beijing immediately retaliated with tariffs on the same value of U.S. goods, including soybeans and cars. China has vowed to retaliate dollar-for-dollar to any further U.S. tariffs.
