Foreign direct investment to Brazil slows amid political uncertainty

In 2017, Brazil was the fourth largest recipient of foreign direct investment in the world, according to United Nations data.

It saw an increase of 8 percent over 2016 – led by investments in the energy sector.

This year, however, we’re seeing a different story with Central Bank data showing a steady decline of investment coming in.
