From shining shoes on the streets to wearing soccer shorts

Even though Guatemala has laws against child labor, government officials estimate that some 415,000 children as young as age seven work in one way or another – on the streets.

One young mother has taken on the task of organizing soccer games to provide a healthy distraction for some of these working boys.

Her next step will be to expand the league. She plans to launch a fundraising campaign on social media.
