Chinese ride-share company Didi issued an apology for the second murder in less than four months linked to their service.

Two senior executives have also been removed from their posts and its pooling service was suspended.

On Aug. 24th, a 20-year-old woman was kidnapped, raped, and murdered in East China’s Zhejiang province.

Police arrested a man who they said confessed to rape and murder.

In May, a 21-year-old female flight attendant was also murdered by her Didi driver in central China’s Zhengzhou.

China’s Ministry of Transportation announced that it will begin a comprehensive inspection of all ride-share companies starting Sept. 5th.
