Netflix and Amazon have revolutionized the streaming model and have changed our viewing habits. And it’s now a billion-dollar industry with high stakes.

You can’t escape Netflix and Amazon – along with Hulu, YouTube, and Apple – as they continue to aggressively pursue the streaming market

They have been made popular because of high broadband speeds and an appetite for binge watching.

“There’s certainly a dizzying amount of money being thrown at the talent and the budgets on the streaming side,” said entertainment expert Kathryn Arnold.”Initially, it was because they needed to compete. Now I think it’s because they’re doing more and more episodes because people love to binge.”
