A major new report on climate change has dire warnings for the world.

The landmark U.N. report, compiled by a panel of more than 90 scientists from 40 countries, was issued this week. It warns of a potential crisis due to global warming that could hit by 2040.

So, is time running out to save the planet? And what actions do the scientists recommend to prevent a climate catastrophe?
