“Dancing in the Streets” takes on new meaning in Mexico

In Mexico, a ballet director has found a way to ignite more public interest in the dance. She and her dance company Ardentia are offering short ballet performances on Mexico City’s streets.

The outdoor productions are attracting the attention of many including some who’ve never seen a ballet.

After a successful summer of dancing ballet at traffic lights in the capital city, Reyna Perez and her dancers say they’re working on new locations in Mexico to keep their show outdoors.
