US retail struggles as consumer landscape changes

While holiday sales in the United States are expected to grow around five percent from last year thanks to low unemployment and rising wages, brick and mortar shopping has endured another year of strain.

Thousands of stores are closing down across the country.  So what can stores do to reverse the trend?
