Epsy Campbell: Costa Rica’s first female Vice President of Afro-descent

In 2018, Costa Rica elected Carlos Alvarado Quesada president and he is currently the youngest head of state in Latin America. But his Vice President also made history.

Economist Epsy Campbell-Barr became the country’s first woman, of Afro-descent, to reach that office.

Anchor Elaine Reyes sat down with her during the 73rd United Nations General Assembly in New York.
