Goodyear quits Venezuela, says US sanctions make business impossible

American tire maker Goodyear Tire and Rubber is shutting down its operation in Venezuela.

The company said U.S. sanctions against the country have made business “impossible.”

Hyperinflation, price controls, and an economic contraction have also hampered the automobile industry there with car parts in short supply.
