Venezuela is in the international spotlight again. Economic and political turmoil have reached exceptional levels. Hyperinflation has skyrocketed and the stability of the region is at stake.

A series of events ended with the swearing-in of the constitutionally re-elected president Nicolas Maduro. But now, another man has held his own swearing-in ceremony as Venezuela’s new president. He’s the opposition leader and head of the government’s legislative body– Juan Guaido.
