Broadcast game shows find new audience on smartphones

Operating out of a small studio in Mexico City, Q12 launched here just three weeks ago but already has more than 10,000 downloads.

It’s a live trivia contest, broadcast to smartphones. The startup makes money selling advertisements while offering users incentives to share the platform within their own networks.

That increases its value through boosting the one number that counts, subscribers.
