A tragic end for a migrant child on his journey from Guatemala to the U.S.

A father from a village in Guatemala decides to migrate to the U.S. He brings his child along to make entry into the country easier. But the trip takes a heart-wrenching turn.

The deaths of two Guatemalan child migrants in less than a month while in the custody of US immigration have caused shock and intrigue. It’s still unclear whether they died as a result of their journey or if they became ill while being held in detention.

The number of children travelling with relatives to cross the U.S. border has increased. Some believe the presence of children will help facilitate their entry into the United States.
