IMF cuts global growth outlook to lowest pace since financial crisis

The IMF and World Bank’s annual Spring meetings are taking place later this week, and for the third time in six months, the IMF revised down its forecasts for the global economy.

A year ago, the organization was so optimistic about growth, it revised numbers it deemed to be unusually low.

But it’s done an about turn, partly due to the impact of global trade disputes, as CGTN’s Owen Fairclough reports.
