It’s a new profession that can bring in a hefty annual salary and make you famous. Correspondent Alasdair Baverstock reports on the on-line success of Mexico’s “YouTubers.”

In Mexico, more children have access to the internet than ever. It’s not only helping them find their own voices, its opening up new career paths for them as well.

Alasdair Baverstock filmed the story of the country’s “YouTubers” using nothing but a cellphone.

Mexico’s most famous YouTuber is a 26-year-old makeup artist named Yuya. As of 2019, she has over twenty-three million subscribers and over one billion video views. Yuya is also in a relationship with comedian Beto Pasillas – another famous YouTuber.
