Kids sacrifice their school vacations trying to build the world’s best robot

Building robots has become a big trend in schools across the globe. Today there are 25,000 teams of students in 60 countries working on robotics.

Once a year, thousands of kids from dozens of countries gather in Louisville, Kentucky to show off their ability to build a robot. And hopefully demonstrate theirs is the best.

Correspondent John Zarrella takes us to the World Robotics Championship. He caught up with several teams including some from Mexico who – it turns out – are no strangers to winning a world championship in robotics.
