US investment conference draws fewer Chinese delegates amid trade tensions

The Commerce Department says the 2019 SelectUSA summit connects global business to investment opportunities here in the U.S.

But foreign investors are coming to Washington as the Trump administration’s aggressive trade policy reverberates around the world.

Still, White House Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow delivered a bullish message about investing in the U.S., saying President Donald Trump’s economic policies are making the U.S. more open to foreign investment.

Investors aren’t so sure.
