Demonstrations continue in Hong Kong, as tensions escalate between protesters opposed to a controversial extradition bill, and police who used tear gas and rubber bullets to subdue the crowds. As many as 100 people have been reported injured including police.

The bill would allow suspects accused of serious crimes in Hong Kong to be extradited to Chinese mainland and other countries. But debate over the legislation is delayed until protests calm.
