For months now, Venezuela has been in crisis with its economy in dire straits and a fight over who should lead the country.

Millions are suffering without basic necessities like food and running water. Medical supplies are in short supply. Millions more have fled Venezuela trying to escape a humanitarian disaster. President Nicolas Maduro continues to hold on to power despite the impact of hard-hitting U.S. sanctions. He visited Moscow recently for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
