A talented clay artist gives animated lessons on Colombia’s history

Colombia’s armed conflict lasted for more than 50 years. But for almost half that time, students weren’t required to study its history.

But one man has taken on the task of educating the public about it…using clay

Edgar Alvarez is a clay animation artist who began making videos to explain historical events in an engaging way.

His short films have become a hit on social media. And his goal is to take his project live and on the road across the country.

Correspondent Michelle Begue met up with him to discuss that project called “MeMoria.”
