After being hunted for more than a decade, the U.S. says it has killed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi – head of the Islamic State – during a Saturday raid in Syria.

President Trump, and other world leaders, have hailed the event as a major strike against the terror organization. But how much impact will Baghdadi’s death have on ISIL moving forward? Are they truly on the decline – or merely laying dormant.
