The death toll in Bolivia has risen to at least 32 following the resignation of President Evo Morales earlier this month. Morales left office and sought asylum in Mexico after allegations of fraud in October’s presidential election.

Morales claims he was victim of an orchestrated coup. But his opponents – including interim president Jeanine Anez – say he violated the constitution by disregarding term limits – and is inciting his supporters to violence from exile.

Even as the interim government proposes new elections, most are unsure how long Bolivia’s political turmoil will last.
