In recent years, Colombia has become the home to an estimated 1.3 million Venezuelan refugees fleeing economic and social unrest in their home country. Among those seeking a better life, are young mothers and their children – some not even born.

While Colombia has made efforts to welcome these new arrivals, many face a state of legal limbo for themselves – and their children. Bringing an added uncertainty to the already overwhelming challenge just to survive.
