With us to talk about identity politics – both the good and the bad – is Kurt Bardella. He’s a media strategist who was previously a Republican congressional staffer. He was also spokesperson for the alt-right website Breitbart News.

In 2017, Kurt defected from the GOP and became a Democrat. Among many things, he’s a member of USA Today’s Board of Contributors, and a frequent voice heard on NBC News. He’s also founder of Morning Hangover, a daily news website for country music.
