Coronavirus: Is a global pandemic near?

As coronavirus continues to spread, the world health community scrambles to nail down the cause, a cure, and any way to track and contain it.

The disease, which originated in mainland China, has spread to at least 23 countries – with infections and related deaths exceeding that of 2003’s SARS epidemic.

With this, many experts believe the outbreak will soon become a full blown pandemic. And if this is the case – will the response by China and other affected nations be enough?

As part of our broadcast coverage – we spoke to Dr. Anthony Fauci. He’s been a global health advisor to six United States presidents, and is currently Director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health.
