The newly-built Leishenshan Hospital in Wuhan to treat novel coronavirus cases took in the first batch of patients Saturday evening. The 1,600-bed hospital became operational on Saturday, with its first 30 patients admitted around 8:00 p.m.

Despite being built in a short amount of time, Leishenshan is well-equipped with ICU, negative pressure examination room, surgery rooms and CT rooms, and some of the latest medical equipment to help treat patients.
