China is willing to have more communication with experts in other countries in their fight against COVID-19, said Zhong Nanshan, a renowned Chinese respiratory specialist.

Speaking at a news conference in Guangzhou on Wednesday, Zhong took a question from CGTN reporter He Weiwei, and said his team has recently held several video conferences with experts in Europe, U.S., Japan and Singapore. 

He noted communication is essential to help other countries combat the pandemic.

Zhong played a leading role in China’s fight against SARS epidemic in 2003, and led the country’s medical team in the fight against coronavirus.
