Police departments across the United States are trying to find ways to continue working while keeping officers and the public safe from the COVID-19 pandemic.

In New York, the epicenter of the outbreak in America, five members of the NYPD have died, and more than 900 have tested positive for the virus. More than 14 percent of its workforce has also called in sick. Other police forces say they are changing the way they maintain order to cope with the crisis.
