The COVID-19 pandemic has put millions of workers in financial peril and threatened to add to a huge mountain of wasted food.

But CGTN’s Owen Fairclough visited one Washington DC bar trying to help solve both these huge problems.

At least 17,000 meals had been served so far, the bar said. Its service is now being expanded to include the elderly and NGO staff.
