COVID-19 “survivors” donate plasma to support scientific research

The COVID-19 pandemic has killed more than 86,000 people in the United States. Thousands have been lucky enough to recover, from asymptomatic cases to people who were hospitalized and on ventilators. Scientists are still studying immunity in survivors but so-called “convalescent plasma” is already being used to treat coronavirus patients.
