Child care centers facing challenges amid COVID-19

Child care centers in the U.S. are fighting for economic survival. More than 60 percent of licensed child care providers have already shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic, according to a survey by the Bipartisan Policy Center.

Those that are still open are seeing fewer kids coming in and are grappling with confusing (and expensive) guidance on how to keep them safe.

Day care center owners in Los Angeles talked about some of the challenges they’re facing.
