The brother of George Floyd made an impassioned plea to members of the ​US House Judiciary Committee.  Philonise Floyd asked that his brother be honored with the end of police violence against African Americans. Floyd’s death has ignited world-wide protests, calling for police reform.

The United States is now facing nearly two million coronavirus cases, with more than 112-thousand deaths.The US economy is also struggling to recover, with some 38-million people filing for unemployment benefits since the pandemic began.
