Pilot shortfall turns surfeit as COVID-19 pandemic grounds airline industry

The COVID-19 pandemic also hit the airline industry in the U.S. due to travel restrictions and domestic passenger activity plummeted.

Just months ago, the industry couldn’t recruit enough pilots. But now, pilots are losing their jobs as carriers shed them by the thousands.

And those in the U.S are calling for even more stimulus money to save them.
