The U.S. election is nearing the 100-day mark, and there’s a lot that could happen between now and then.

Democratic candidate Joe Biden has said he will announce his female running mate by early August.

Both Democrats and Republicans will hold their national conventions in August.

Democrats will meet in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Aug. 17-20, although most of the convention will take place online due to coronavirus concerns.

Biden will accept the nomination in person, but voting will take place virtually.

Republicans will have also a modified convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, Aug. 24-27.

The convention had been moved to Jacksonville, Florida, due to North Carolina laws on social distancing, but Trump has cancelled the Florida portions sue to a “flare-up” of the coronavirus there.

Trump said he will deliver his convention speech in a different format.

On Sept. 29, Biden and Trump will debate each other for the first time in Notre Dame, Indiana.

On Oct. 7, Vice President Mike Pence and the Democratic vice presidential nominee will debate in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The second Biden-Trump debate will take place Oct. 15 in Miami, Florida.

The final Biden-Trump debate will take place Oct. 22 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Election Day is Nov. 3, 2020.

Given the coronavirus pandemic and the large number of mail-in ballots expected, the 2020 election results may not be known by Nov. 3.
