Following the coronavirus shutdown across the U.S., tens of millions of Americans lost their jobs. Families are struggling to pay rent and pay for groceries.

More than 6 million people enrolled for food stamps between February and May.

A new community initiative called “Community Fridges” is now placing refrigerators on the streets, where sponsors can bring food donations for those in need.

Many small businesses are using the opportunity to prevent food waste, while they help bring relief to families in need.
