Tackling food insecurity through gleaning

As the U.S. copes with the coronavirus pandemic, many food crops have gone to waste amid a drop in demand from restaurants. At the same time, with record unemployment, food insecurity has soared. An ancient practice called “gleaning” is seen as a solution for both problems.
