The Heat: UAE-Israel agree to normalize relations

The Heat

As part of the deal brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump, Israel has agreed to suspend a plan to annex parts of the occupied West Bank.

The agreement makes the UAE the third Arab country after Egypt and Jordan to have full diplomatic ties with Israel. While some have called the talks a breakthrough, others remain skeptical.

CGTN’s Nathan King has a report from the White House.

To discuss the agreement:

  • Jeremy Saltan is a Knesset insider and political strategist.
  • Omar Baddar is a Middle East political analyst.
  • Negar Mortazavi is an Iranian journalist and commentator.
  • Harlan Ullman is chairman of the Killowen Group.
