The Heat

The U.S. presidential race heats up as Democrats prepare to formally anoint Joe Biden in the race for the White House.

As Democrats take center stage next week to formalize their party’s ticket for November’s national election, gone will be the mass gathering of party faithful — giving way instead to smaller events and virtual speeches. We, of course, already know how it will end. By this time next week, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will officially be their party’s nominees for president and vice president.
