ABOUT:

A country looks to forgiveness and unity after decades of civil conflict.

In 2016 the Colombian government and rebels from the country’s largest militant group, the Leftist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia—People's Army known as the FARC signed a pivotal accord hoping to bring an end to over four decades of armed conflict.

Though four years have passed since the contentious peace and FARC rebels at-large have disarmed; a lasting peace has not come to Colombia as standouts and smaller paramilitary groups spanning the political spectrum still raise questions about peace and create unrest.

‘Reconciliation: Colombia's Journey for Peace’ takes viewers to the cities and wildernesses of the nation to see what progress is being made and what hurdles remain in Colombia’s quest to form a cohesive, peaceful and unified state.
