Venezuela recession forces some to subsistence fishing

In Venezuela, as in many other parts of the world, the COVID-19 pandemic has shut down much of the economy.

But the situation is particularly serious in the South American country, as it was already in a deep recession.

One consequence is that a growing number of people, from all walks of life, have turned to the sea for sustenance.
