Chinese President Xi Jinping has delivered a televised New Year speech to the nation. He praised China’s efforts to fight COVID-19 in what he called an “extraordinary year.”
He also outlined the country’s major achievements on the economic front and lauded China’s efforts to eradicate poverty. President Xi also looked ahead to 2021.
