But there is some good news with thousands of people across the country being vaccinated daily. And the Biden administration is considering sending masks to all Americans as it tries to beat back the disease. Meanwhile, Brazil is also battling a COVID-19 surge with hospitals and emergency services in the Amazon region stretched to breaking point.
