Chinese both at home and abroad are celebrating China’s Lunar New Year and the Year of the Ox. China Media Group’s major Spring Festival gala kicked off the festivities with hundreds of millions of Chinese tuning in to watch the TV extravaganza. But the huge migration of people traveling home for family reunions and celebrations is not happening this year because of precautions over COVID-19.
